In that moment I felt God’s love for me wash over me like a gush of fresh air. Why was I worried? Why did I panic? God promised to take care of me and in that moment, He did.

Why is it that sometimes we have to literally force ourselves to slow down to appreciate the present? Society throws so much at us all at once and it’s so easy to fall into the trap of trying to keep up. 

But the thing is, why do we feel the need to “keep up”? I mean…keep up with who? And for what?

We don’t serve a “tit for tat” God. God’s love is so far and wide, it truly exceeds our comprehension. He doesn’t look at our actions, He looks at our heart and our faith. If God only blessed us based off of merit, we would all be out here working tirelessly trying to earn blessings from God. 

But the thing is, God’s love can not be earned.
