In that moment I felt God’s love for me wash over me like a gush of fresh air. Why was I worried? Why did I panic? God promised to take care of me and in that moment, He did.

Why is it that sometimes we have to literally force ourselves to slow down to appreciate the present? Society throws so much at us all at once and it’s so easy to fall into the trap of trying to keep up. 

But the thing is, why do we feel the need to “keep up”? I mean…keep up with who? And for what?

I turned 30 last September and I have to be honest, I haven't really appreciated it until now. 

In all honesty, turning thirty freaked me out. I kept thinking about how my twenties were going to be just a memory, how I wasn't yet married, and how I wasn't exactly where I wanted to be in life. Time just seemed to be moving so swiftly. I wasn't ready to be thirty quite yet. What did being thirty mean anyway?
